Nasser Maddi (Owner/Artistic Director)
Nasser began dancing at the age of six and has trained /performed with leading teachers/ choreographers, and music artists ever since. He began his career in Europe with The Grooves Dance Company. There, he taught and performed Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, Control Dance, Ballroom, and Persian Dance. His experience with The Grooves Dance Co. led to numerous opportunities to travel throughout Europe, perform and choreograph on stage and television. His credits include dancing with popular European singing artists, Ann Lee and Belle Perez. He then choreographed and performed for various Persian singing artists in Germany, including Sayeh. Nasser also had several television appearances performing on European musical entertainment shows. Nasser performed in corporate events including grand openings for a Chanel Fragrance launch in France, The Columbus Shoe Company in Spain and ING Insurance Co. in Germany. He spent three years touring with The Bailando Dance Company performing Salsa in Germany, Holland, France,…. With over20 years of experience choreographing, teaching, and performing dance, Nasser brought his passion and love for dance to Orange County, California where he opened up his studio with the desire to provide high quality dance training. He is living his dream and sharing his enthusiasm for dance with his students.
Marisol Lara (Belly dance/Hula/Tap)
Her dance training began in 2006 at Pro Dance Center with concentration on Hip hop , Hula , Tahitian, Belly dance , Tap and Jazz . She has been a performer and an instructor with Pro dance since 2008 and currently dances in various productions and festival throughout southern California, most regularly Irvine Global Festival and Soka University International Festival. In 2010 she began studying with Angelika Nemeth to further her belly dance training until 2012 when she went to Mendocino Middle Eastern Dance and Music camp for summer of 2012. Her Tap, Jazz, hula and Tahitian training also took place at Orange Coast College until 2012 when she performed with the Performing Dance Ensemble for the World Dance Concert of 2012. She is currently the Advanced Belly dance instructor as well as the Hula and Tahitian Instructor for both children and adults.
Ashley Nettles (Ballet / point/ Combo):
Ashley is a Social and Cultural Analysis of Education graduate student at CSU, Long Beach. She is dually completing her Single Subject Credential in Physical Education – Dance Emphasis at CSU, Long Beach. Ashley graduated with a BA in Dance from CSU, Los Angeles in 2007. She first began dancing at the Landmark Theatre in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 6 and since then has harnessed about 20 years of experience as a performer. Ashley has danced as a member of various dance & drill teams throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Upon graduating from high school she began studying with The Hartfel Ballet Company located in Orange County. From there she added technical variety and a firmer modern dance foundation at San Pedro City Ballet School located in San Pedro, CA. where she performed as a company member in The Nutcracker, as well as a prequel to a spring performance at the Laguna Museum of Arts. Ashley most recently attended American Ballet Theatres National Training Curriculum in New York, New York for Pre-Primary through Level 3 students. Along with her dance emphasis, Ashley is currently a Physical Education teacher for Green Dot Charter Schools and works for Long Beach Unified School District.
Kylie Canales (Jazz/ Tap/ Contemporary)
Kylie has been dancing since the age of four, training and competing in various styles of dance such as classical ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, and Irish Dance. When she was 12, she won the 2008 World Championships of Irish Dance held in Philadelphia, PA with the Claddagh School of Irish Dance. At age 15, she fell in love with the art of ballet and flew to New York City to train with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy from Russia. Shortly after, she received scholarships to train with the Joffrey Ballet School every summer until graduation. While attending Long Beach State University as a Journalism major, Kylie landed her first dance gig at 19 with Knott’s Berry Farm in “Snoopy’s Merriest Tree Lighting Show”. Shortly after, she received the opportunity to perform live on TV for Disney’s “Diamond Celebration” stop-show at the 2016 Tournament of the Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA. She then got into live musical theater where she performed in shows such as “Memphis” at Center Stage Theater, “Guys and Dolls” with Temecula Valley Players, and “Beauty and the Beast” with Performance Riverside. On the side, she taught at local dance studios including And All That Jazz, Temecula Valley Dance Academy, and Norris Performing Arts Center. She also performed on a contract with modern dance company Avocado Dance Theatre throughout southern California. Kylie began working in entertainment at the Disneyland Resort in the fall of 2016. She has been seen dancing in “A Christmas Fantasy” parade, “Main Street Electrical Parade”, and “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade”. Just reaching her one-year mark, she is excited to be accepting another contract to perform in the 2017/2018 “A Christmas Fantasy” parade as various dance roles and face characters. Outside of Disney, Kylie loves sharing her passion of dance with others and is excited to be teaching at Pro Dance Center this dance season!
