Dance Instructors

Nasser Maddi (Owner/Artistic Director)

nasser-maddi-1-150-200Nasser began dancing at the age of six and has trained /performed with leading teachers/ choreographers, and music artists ever since. He began his career in Europe with The Grooves Dance Company. There, he taught and performed Jazz, Salsa, Hip Hop, Control Dance, Ballroom, and Persian Dance. His experience with The Grooves Dance Co. led to numerous opportunities to travel throughout Europe, perform and choreograph on stage and television. His credits include dancing with popular European singing artists, Ann Lee and Belle Perez. He then choreographed and performed for various Persian singing artists in Germany, including Sayeh.

Nasser also had several television appearances performing on European musical entertainment shows. Nasser performed in corporate events including grand openings for a Chanel Fragrance launch in France, The Columbus Shoe Company, in Spain and ING Insurance Co. in Germany. He spent three years touring with The Bailando Dance Company performing Salsa in Germany, Holland, France,…. With over20 years of experience choreographing, teaching, and performing dance, Nasser brought his passion and love for dance to Irvine, California where he opened up his studio with the desire to provide high quality dance training. He is living his dream and sharing his enthusiasm for dance with his students.

Marisol Lara (Belly dance/Hula/Tap) 

Her dance training began in 2006 at Pro Dance Center with concentration on Hip hop , Hula , Tahitian, Belly dance , Tap and Jazz . She has been a performer and an instructor with Pro dance since 2008 and currently dances in various productions and festival throughout southern California, most regularly Irvine Global Festival and Soka University International Festival. In 2010 she began studying with Angelika Nemeth to further her belly dance training until 2012 when she went to Mendocino Middle Eastern Dance and Music camp for summer of 2012. Her Tap, Jazz, hula and Tahitian training also took place at Orange Coast College until 2012 when she performed with the Performing Dance Ensemble for the World Dance Concert of 2012. She is currently the Advanced Belly dance instructor as well as the Hula and Tahitian Instructor for both children and adults.

Ashley Nettles (Ballet / point/ Combo):

Ashley is a Social and Cultural Analysis of Education graduate student at CSU, Long Beach. She is dually completing her Single Subject Credential in Physical Education – Dance Emphasis at CSU, Long Beach. Ashley graduated with a BA in Dance from CSU, Los Angeles in 2007. She first began dancing at the Landmark Theatre in Richmond, Virginia at the age of 6 and since then has harnessed about 20 years of experience as a performer. Ashley has danced as a member of various dance & drill teams throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Upon graduating from high school she began studying with The Hartfel Ballet Company located in Orange County. From there she added technical variety and a firmer modern dance foundation at San Pedro City Ballet School located in San Pedro, CA. where she performed as a company member in The Nutcracker, as well as a prequel to a spring performance at the Laguna Museum of Arts. Ashley most recently attended American Ballet Theatres National Training Curriculum in New York, New York for Pre-Primary through Level 3 students. Along with her dance emphasis, Ashley is currently a Physical Education teacher for Green Dot Charter Schools and works for Long Beach Unified School District.


Cameron Schwanz (Ballet):

Cameron began his ballet training at age 8 and continued his studies with the national Ballet School of Canada, as well as

the Huston Ballet Academy In 2005 he joined Texas Ballet Theater , working with Director Ben Stevenson.

In 2007 he began dancing with several companies in Southern California ,including Ballet Pacifica/Festival Ballet Theater and Los Angeles Ballet .

These experiences led him to dance with Ballet San Jose from 2009 to 2011. Cameron’s repertorie includes Remeo and Juliet , Giselle, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Gaite Parisian and Carmen. He Has danced several Balanchine ballets including Violin Concerto, Square Dance, Prodigal Son, and Agon Beauty and the Beast was Cameron’s first appearance with inland Pacific Ballet and was an original production choreographed be Clinton Rothwell.



Sarah Burke (Ballet/Tap)                                                                                     

Sarah Burke’s passion for dance has taken her across the nation, from Maryland to Hawai’i, with nearly two decades of performance and classroom experience in Cecchetti Method ballet (including pre-pointe and pointe), tap (both Broadway and rhythm styles), jazz (including lyrical jazz and jazz funk), hip-hop, hula, and some ballroom. She has performed with the Springfield School of Dance (in annual recitals as well as televised performances), the Affinity Dance Team (a professional hip-hop crew based in Honolulu, HI), the Radio City Rockettes Summer Intensive, Musical Feet (winning platinum, high gold, and the judges’ award for tap in the On State New York competition), the Unity School of Dance and is the co-founder of Chez Nous, a private studio in Eugene, OR. Ms. Burke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with a certificate in Pre-Medical Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she also studied dance and music in world cultures. Additional classroom experience includes working as the dance director for the Kristall Gymnastics Studio (Irvine, CA), as well as an instructor for at the Amazon Community Center (Eugene, OR), Dance Foundations (Columbia, MD where she also took master classes from Avi Miller & Ofer Ben), and at Ultimate Performance Studios in Kapolei, HI, to name a few. Sarah hopes to inspire others to pursue their own passions; if you’re doing what you love, you will never “work” a day in your life .

 William Stewart ( Jazz/ Turn & Technique)

Originally from Nashville, Tn. William Ladd has had many years of exposure to dance . Beginning his training in the U.S William spent multiple years studying and performing the explicit technique continuing to explore dance through modern technique and composition in Italy. Coming back to the U.S William received his degree in Dance and Film Production from Austin Peay State the viewer started to re-shape his choreographic development.

William has furthered his performance and teaching education by attending The American Dance Festival, Tennessee Association of Dance , Thodos Chicago Winter intensive , New York City Dance Alliance and Shock The Intensive.

William was a company member of found movement group , Nashville’s first contemporary dance company for three seasons (2010 to 2013 ) . During his time with found , he performed in more than seven events, one commercial, and two main productions as a principal dancer ( Ugly and In This House) .

Currently William travels Judging dance events for stage one National Dance Competition and Applause talent.
